COVID-19 forces upon us some serious challenges in getting back to work.
Introducing our COVID-19 Easy Clean Double Looped Handles that are designed specifically for use with cleaning/disinfecting products.
Our COVID-19 Easy Clean Double Looped Handles are an ENTIRE HANDLE made from a chemical resistant material, that can be cleaned with a detergent, and followed by a disinfectant with bleach when required. Our COVID-19 Easy Clean Handles are not fabric, but are made from a non-porous synthetic strap. Comprising a stainless steel D-Ring connector (Grade 316), together with chromed locking fasteners, our COVID-19 Easy Clean Double Looped Handles can be cleaned by applying a detergent/disinfectant via a damp cloth (see below for recommended cleaning).
By comparison to competitors' vinyl wraps that only cover PART of the fabric hand loops, you don’t have to lose time taking care when cleaning our loops. We examined the concept of vinyl wraps and dismissed it as a concept for dealing with COVID-19. Exposed fabric will become damp with regular cleaning, and we are uncertain you can really clean the vinyl where it creases in the compound curves of the loops, or where the Velcro exists. In the end, we decided against making vinyl wraps as we feel they do not provide a solid solution in the difficult environment of COVID-19, in that we cannot be sure these can be cleaned/disinfected fully in accordance with Safe Work Australia guidelines.
We understand that the feel of the COVID-19 Easy Clean Handles will not be as plush as our felt lined double looped handles, but these handles can be cleaned using cleaning/disinfecting products providing comfort to both studio owners and clients in the current COVID-19 environment.
Recommended cleaning:
Using a solution of hot water (55-60 degrees Celsius) mixed with a dose of dishwashing liquid (about 5-10 drops of dishwashing liquid per 500ml to 1ltr of hot water), one that is preferably PH balanced (note: do not use lemon or alkaline based solutions), applied with an all purpose dish cleaning cloth or sponge, the operator (wearing dishwashing gloves for protection) can generously apply the solution to the handles to clean. Then immediately dry with a separate disposable cloth. Products labelled 'disinfectant' on the packaging can also be used to further disinfect the handles. Note: If using a disinfectant, we recommend that the disinfected area is later cleaned off with a hot, mild soapy water solution following the application of the disinfectant and dried with a disposable cloth.
